HOW MANY VEHICLES AM I ABLE TO PURCHASE?
You may purchase, finance or lease up to two (2) new vehicles per calendar year.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR PREFERRED PRICING?
Canadian employees (all active hourly and salaried staff and their spouse, not including contract or retired employees) of eligible Preferred Pricing companies.
ARE MY FAMILY MEMBERS ELIGIBLE FOR PREFERRED PRICING?
The selected vehicle(s) must be titled and registered in the approved employee's or their spouse's name for personal use only.
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO KEEP THE VEHICLE TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR PREFERRED PRICING?
Customers are prohibited from reselling their vehicle or either registering or exporting it out of Canada for at least 6 months after delivery and 12,000km (whichever comes last), or acting on behalf of another person or company who intends to resell or export during such time.
I RECENTLY BOUGHT A NEW GM VEHICLE. CAN I STILL APPLY FOR PREFERRED PRICING?
No. Previous purchases are not eligible.
CAN I RECEIVE PREFERRED PRICING FROM ANY GM DEALER?
This program is available only at participating GM dealers, so when you contact your local dealer, let them know you'd like to take advantage of Preferred Pricing.
CAN I ORDER A VEHICLE, RATHER THAN CHOOSING ONE FROM MY DEALER'S INVENTORY?
Yes, you can receive Preferred Pricing when you order through a participating dealer
WHAT DO I HAVE TO SHOW MY DEALER TO GET PREFERRED PRICING?
To use Preferred Pricing, you will need to provide a valid authorization code from gmpreferredpricing.ca, as well as a letter from your Human Resources department or recent pay stub showing active employment, to a participating dealer.
ARE DEALER-INSTALLED OPTIONS COVERED BY PREFERRED PRICING?
No. Any additional dealer-installed options, conversion/upfit packages, General Motors Protection Plans and other extra-charge items will be supplied at a price agreed upon by you and your dealer.
CAN I USE A TRADE-IN WITH THIS PROGRAM?
Yes. Please speak to your local participating dealer for more information about trade-ins.

At General Motors, we know just how important mobility is if you have a disability. That’s why the GM Mobility Program offers a reimbursement of up to $1,0005 towards the cost of adapting an eligible new GM vehicle.

GETTING STARTED
Getting the vehicle you love adapted with the right equipment can be a simple process. To start, we recommend you:

Obtain an evaluation or visit your medical practitioner First find a driver assessment facility and arrange for a complete evaluation. There are a number of facilities across the country, but if you’re not sure where to find one, you can always get in touch with the Ministry of Transportation or contact us at the GM Mobility Program. Your assessment should include suggestions about your driving and a list of vehicle modification recommendations.

If you already know what kind of adaptive equipment you need, you won’t need an evaluation. Your equipment installer will only need a physician’s authorization form.

Contact the Provincial Ministry of Transportation In most provinces, people are required to report any changes in their medical status to the Provincial Ministry of Transportation. When you report a change in your medical status, the Ministry may conduct a medical review, and may need to alter your driving privileges for your safety. Also keep in mind that failure to report a change in your medical status may put your driver’s licence status in jeopardy altogether.

Choose a Vehicle Get your driver assessment professional involved in the process. There is a broad range of vehicles and adaptive equipment available, but finding the right match can be challenging. Space limitations, vehicle use and the type of equipment you need are all factors you should consider when you’re doing your research. Remember if you need help choosing the right vehicle, get in touch with your GM Canada dealer, an adaptive equipment installer or your assessment professional.

Make Sure You Get Proper Training The equipment installer and/or driver evaluator should train you in the proper use, care and maintenance of your adaptive equipment and vehicle control system.
Eligible Equipment
To be eligible for a GM reimbursement for up to $1,0005, your adaptive equipment must be:
  • PERMANENTLY INSTALLED IN AN ELIGIBLE VEHICLE
  • INSTALLED FOR A DRIVER OR PASSENGER WITH A PERMANENT DISABILITY
Vehicle conversion must be completed for eligible participants within 12 months of the new vehicle purchase/lease date.

Regular production options and GM accessories are not eligible for reimbursement.

HOW CAN I MAKE SURE MY VEHICLE IS ELIGIBLE?
For the GM Mobility Program, in effect until January 2, 2026, you must purchase or lease an eligible new GM vehicle.
CAN I USE THE REIMBURSEMENT WITH OTHER FACTORY REBATES AND INCENTIVES?
Yes. Speak to your dealer about other offers available to you.
I DON’T SEE MY ADAPTIVE EQUIPMENT ON YOUR ELIGIBILITY LIST. HOW DO I FIND OUT IF I CAN BE REIMBURSED?

HOW SOON AFTER I PURCHASE OR LEASE MY NEW VEHICLE DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE THE EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION AND APPLY FOR REIMBURSEMENT?
To take advantage of the GM Mobility Reimbursement Program, you must have the vehicle adapted and submit a claim within 12 months of the date of purchase/lease. Other program rules apply.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER WAYS I CAN OFFSET THE COST OF PURCHASING ADAPTIVE EQUIPMENT?
The Canadian government does offer tax credits and rebate programs for some adaptive equipment. Contact your Provincial Ministry of Transportation for more information.

Limit one bonus per eligible individual. Valid Canadian driver’s license and proof of status required. Eligible individuals: Permanent Residents if arrival date was in 2022 or later; Temporary Foreign Workers with valid permit at time of purchase.
